Found in a Lake West of the Abandoned Ailing Village
The Great Katana is found in the middle of a lake west of the Abandoned Ailing Village in Gravesite Plain. It is guarded by a Ghostflame Dragon, but you do not need to defeat it. You can simply pick up the Great Katana and leave the area without a fight.

Both Overhead Stance and Piercing Fang are great offensive choices, with Overhead Stance excelling in stance damage and Piercing Fang in closing gaps. Bloodhound's Step is for more mobility, as it makes maneuvering easier and is a good alternative for rolling.
