How to Unlock Dirge of the Mire
The Dirge of the Mire begins as soon as you enter the Venom-Drenched Path after clearing the previous The Serpentine Path quest.

How to Follow the Serpent
| Objective | |

| 1 | Speak to Neyrelle Speak to Neyrelle in the Venom-Drenched Path. |
| 2 |  Follow the serpent with your allies You'll have to follow the serpent's body south, but this could be tricky since the map is blocked off in this area. Use the map above so you don't get lost. |
| 2a |  If you pass a Healing Well (♥) heading south, you're going in the right direction. |
| 3 |  Find a way through the mire Go south until you reach a muddy swamp area. In the east side of this area, there'll be a part of the serpent with a Wounded Underside. Attack it, to make the serpent remove itself from the path. |
| 4 |  Destroy the dead trees Follow this straightforward new path until you have to turn north. There'll be dead trees blocking the way. Destroy them to head into the final area of the quest. |
| 5 |  Follow your allies into the Voiceless Grove Head over a bit east to Lorath, then be ready to be ambushed by enemies. |
| 6 |  Destroy the Wailing Soul Defeat the first of these enemies, the Wailing Soul. |
| 7 |  Slay all enemies Defeat all the enemies that spawn, culminating in the elite enemy Nikola the Lost. You can activate the Channeling Shrine so that your skills won't cost resources and have reduced cooldown. |
| 8 |  Follow Neyrelle Follow Neyrelle east, out of the Voiceless Grove and to the Swamp of Vanished Souls. Doing so will complete the quest and start The Slow, Beating Heart quest. |
