this worked for me, thanks! note: there are 10 eremites (9 + 1 boss) to defeat and an aranara will appear to continue the quest
The quest may be uncompleted. First, teleport to the aboveground Chatrakam Cave teleport waypoint and go directly west. There should be a cave with Eremites there. If Paimon mentions them, you have to defeat them (There are more inside the cave.) After that, the quest will continue. When done with the quest, wait two in-game days, then go find the researcher and speak to him. Hope this helps!

His spawn point is further south and higher up. Also switch back to the real world if you are in dream world.
is it normal for the quest to not be in your quest list even if its still ongoing? I remember talking to the old man twice and the quest is no longer in my quest list, but Memory's Final Chapter is still incomplete in my Sumeru Reputation quests??
He is a little ways away from the tent in his camp once you return. If you look at the nearby ledge, he's standing at the top of it this time. So look around a bit instead of checking for the exact same spot he was in last time. Much luck!
I waited 2 days (ingame) after the end for old man respawn. Just use the clock
i cant see the old man at the end of the quest. im at his new area/camp spot but hes not there??
don't know if it's the case, but you may looking in the wrong place His acampament isn't near the cave entrance anymore, it's change to other place nearby, but still close to the teleport it's also a green tend but with a fire wood light up now.

Idk either, I've been checking everyday and he hasn't spawned back at his camp for me either
Anyone know why old guy won't spawn after the three flowers get planted? It's been a few days already so I know I don't need a server reset
