Elden Ring PC Requirements

Official PC Requirements Announced

On February 15, 2022, FromSoftware has revealed the official PC system requirements for Elden Ring on Twitter. The system requirements on the Steam page are still labled as TBD, however.

Although Elden Ring uses the same engine used for Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro, its minimum and recommended system requirements are considerably higher compared to the two games. PC players may need to upgrade their hardware to run the game at a decent speed.

Players can achieve the maximum graphical settings possible for Elden Ring, depending on the hardware that they have on their PC.

The PC version supports HDR, Raytracing, 60 FPS, and 4K resolution. It does not support ultra-wide monitors, however.

These graphics features require the latest GPU and CPU hardware available to achieve full graphical fidelity.

All Playstation consoles support HDR at launch, although the PS4 and PS4 Pro have a 30 FPS cap and can only run at a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p) and 3200 × 1800 (QHD), respectively.

The PS5 version supports Raytracing via a patch, has a 60 FPS cap, and runs the game at 3840x2160 (4K resolution).

Limited cross-generation compatibility

The PS4 version can be ported to PS5 and the save data can be transferred as well. However, the PS5 version cannot be ported to PS4.

If you port your PS4 game to PS5 and continue to play from there, your save files cannot be transferred back to PS4.

Both the Xbox One consoles have a 30 FPS cap, and only the Xbox One X supports HDR. The Xbox One S can only run Elden Ring at a maximum resolution of 1600x900 (900p), while the Xbox One X supports up to 3840x2160 (4K resolution).

All Xbox Series consoles can run the game at 60 FPS, as well as support HDR. However, the Xbox Series X can only support Raytracing and display the game at 3840x2160 (4K resolution). The Xbox Series S is limited to a maximum resolution of 2560x1440 (1440p).

Xbox consoles are cross-generation compatible

All Xbox consoles have full cross-generation compatibility. This means that Xbox players can transfer save data from an Xbox One console to an Xbox Series console and vice-versa.
