I got mine stuck at the top and couldn't find a way to lower it, I ended up going back to the north-west island top section, then making sure the bridge was connected to the island, then standing behind the T button and it gave me the "lower lift" option which lowered the entire center back down. Only thing that worked for me.

I had the exact same issue. You need to go to the opposite side to flip it. I don't remember the exact steps, but essentialy retrace what you did there, you can lower the whole machine thing- (Sorry I suck at explaining things-)

Try jumping down into the clouds. The game teleported me back to the altar after a yellow flash in the picture
Having the same issues as everyone below. I got up to the floating alter with Xilonen and now the saurian companion will not move, even though there are elevators. Very annoying
im having the very same issue, nothing can solve it help
How do you operate the mechanism in the center? It keeps saying"Path to the altar has not been linked up yet, unable to return/" It would have been better if this 'guide" also touched on this

How do you get back up to the area? My game glitched and sent me back to the main terrain and there is no teleportation back up
for the second to last one i cannot get my suarian back to the altair? it will not go down or connect to the edge
