Before starting on any of the photo-taking challenges, bring a bow character with you. The bow character you bring doesn't have to be strong or able to hit multiple targets, you will use the bow character's charged attack just to trigger the animal to attack you as you take a picture from a distance.
Capture the idle animal behaviors first like resting, eating, cleaning, and more before taking a photo of them attacking! It would disrupt their normal behavior and would make it harder for you to get the other images.
Since it's hard to avoid getting hit by the enemies, bring a shield character with you to ensure your safety from the attacks of these animals!
List of All Shield Characters
Location | Ashavan Realm, Sumeru |
---|---|
Description | Wild Shaggy Sumpter Beasts spend a large portion of the day eating. When mealtime is over, they will lay down on the floor and rest quietly. Should enemies approach, they will mercilessly launch an attack, using their huge bodies to drive away any uninvited guests. |
The Shaggy Sumpter Beasts are located deep in the Apam Woods beyond a waterfall. It is also near a Hilichurl Camp. The area has shallow water, you can see the sumpter beasts rest in!
The Shaggy Sumpter Beasts are normally docile creatures until you attack them. You can get close to them and grab a good photo of them eating and resting without needing to be far away! You can keep your Kamera open as you scan what they are doing.
Shaggy Sumpter Beasts will attack ferociously once triggered. To avoid the risk of your character getting hurt, climb a high hill near the Sumpter Beasts' location and use a bow character's charged attack to shoot at one of them. Then, grab a photo as the animal is rushing towards you.
Location | Lokapala Jungle, Sumeru |
---|---|
Description | Spinocrocodiles lurk in the water and silently ambush their prey. After a fulfilling meal, they tend to rest on the shores of lakes to adjust their body temperature. Sometimes, they open their mouths wide to let birds pick out the food residue. |
The area is Sumeru City, you need to use the Teleport Waypoint on the right side of the marked map. Once you're in the area, you'll be faced with a river with shallow waters near it. There area also enemies nearby you may have to fight to get a better shot!
Once you arrive in the area or the Spinocrocodiles, it's best to defeat the Eremite and Fungi enemies in the area first. To grab a photo of the Spinocrocodiles as they are opening their mouths in the water, position yourself near the water but remain far enough to be undetected.
Then, open your Exquisite Kamera and keep shooting until the device identifies what it's doing: "Spinocrocodile: Opening Mouth" then snap that photo!
The best way to grab an image of a Spinocrocodile resting by the shores, is to covertly head towards a Spinocrocodile resting near the water. Keep your distance, so you don't disturb them, then take a photo!
Spinocrocodiles attack in groups, it's best to trigger only one of them for this photo. From a fair amount of distance, shield yourself then use a bow character's charged attack then allow the Spinocrocodile to charge towards you as you take the photo. Once you got the image, you can leave the area!
Location | Vissudha Field , Sumeru |
---|---|
Description | Rishboland Tigers are extremely territorial. They patrol the mountains on a daily basis and will assault any invaders. Meanwhile, they take care to maintain their appearance. They often wash their faces to clean up their hair. Word has it that when they are not hunting, they, similarly to many other beasts, are fond of playing games, such as chasing their own tails. Of course, this is hardly a scene that anyone can witness. |
The area in Vissudha Field is filled with trees the Rishboland Tiger can climb and a large grassy hill they can rest in!
Keep a distance away from the Rishboland Tiger and wait for it to wash its face. Keep your Kamera rolling until it does, then snap the photo. Avoid triggering it or it will attack you!
There will be various Rishboland Tigers in the area, pan your camera around until you spot one of them playing with their tail. Wait for the Kamera to identify what they're doing, then snap the photo!
Use a shield character, then get a little close to the Rishboland Tiger to trigger them to attack you. Run away, then once you have enough distance from them, take a picture!
