Windtrace Event Guide
Rebels will have to hide and sneakily avoid being captured by the Hunter for as long as they can. If even a single Rebel is left uncaptured when time runs out, the Rebels win!
As featured in the Version 3.3 Livestream, Rebels will be able to place Beacons that can fool Hunters and help their fellow Rebels even after they're captured!

Disguise | Click: Randomly disguise as one of the specialized objects in the area. Hold: Remove the disguise The disguise will be removed when you glide or swim. |
Transparency | Enter hidden mode temporarily. During this time, you cannot be seen by the Hunter. Entering this mode will dispel your current guise. The Hunter's Windward Arts ''Capture!,'' Mysterious Hunch,'' and ''Sensor Aura'' will all still take effect against a hidden Rebel. |
Starstep | Movement SPD is greatly increased for the next 30s. |
Concealing Beacon | Place a Concealing Beacon for a set duration. While near this Beacon, the Rebels will be invisible and cannot be discovered by the Hunter until the Beacon is destroyed. If a Hunter uses Capture on the Concealing Beacon, their vision will be obscured for a short time. |
Illusory Beacon | Place a suitable piece of bait in the area ahead to confuse the Hunter. If the Hunter attempts to capture the Bait, their vision will be obscured for a short time. Can only be used in Observer Mode once a Rebel is captured. |

Windward Arts replace normal Combat Talents during Windtrace Matches. You can only equip 3 Windward Arts at a time to replace your Normal Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst. The Rebels' Windward Arts are made to disguise themselves and avoid capture.
Most of the time, the best way to go is up! Even if the Hunter knows your location, it would take them some time before they actually reach you. During this window, you can sneakily move to another location (with the recommended skill, Transparency)! Find a rooftop, tree, or cliff to climb, and you have a hiding spot that Hunters will absolutely be annoyed with.
Though hiding in plain sight is always an option, the Hunters' instinct may be to check items they see in an area. Small nooks and crannies that escape the Hunter's view are a much better place to hide in! If you find the right spot, you can stay hidden and unmoving for the whole match!
Use the Contested Zones to your advantage and blend in with your surroundings! If you try setting up your disguise as a natural part of the stage, and a Hunter might just pass by you. Go for the smaller disguises as they will be less easier to spot!
