How to Unlock A Peculiar Ponyta

Ponyta

This Request will become available after catching Ponyta and quelling the Frenzied Noble Kleavor in the The Frenzy of the Lord of the Woods Mission. Ponyta can be seen when the weather is clear in Horseshoe Plains in Obsidian Fieldlands.

Head into the Professor's lab and read the blackboard to find out about the request.

A Peculiar Ponyta Walkthrough

Mission Objectives

Steps to proceed through A Peculiar Ponyta
1	Head into Galaxy Hall and read the blackboard inside Professor Laventon's lab.
2	Get to the bridge to the east of Jubilife Village and talk to Yota to begin.
3	Go to the marker on the map in Obsidian Fieldlands to find the Ponyta with a different color. You can turn on quest markers by pressing A while hovering over a request in the Request List.
4	Catch the Ponyta with Poke Balls once you arrive at the marker. You can use bait and sneak up on it to catch it easier.
5	Report back to Yota in Jubilife Village to finish the request.

Capture the Shiny Ponyta

PLA Shiny Ponyta Request

The Ponyta that is part of this request is a shiny Ponyta with striking blue flames, and it is the only known guaranteed shiny in the game

You can capture the Ponyta more easily if you use bait to attract it. Also, make sure you also sneak while getting closer to avoid alerting it. If it escapes it Poke Ball on your first attempt, follow the Pokemon as it runs away and try again.

Shiny Ponyta Location

The shiny Pontya required for the request can be found at Horseshoe Plains in Obsidian Fieldlands. As you approach the area, a cutscene will play out and after which, you can start to catch the Ponyta.
