Research Tasks Guide: How to Complete the Pokedex
The Hisuian form of Growlithe has longer, more voluminous fur than it's Kanto counterpart. This extra fluff is said to keep Hisuian Growlithe warm, even in colder regions of Hisui. It also boasts a sharp yet brittle horn that it uses sparingly.
Hisuian Growlithe are said to appear in pairs who watch over their territories diligently. Since they are not used to being around people, they tend to be wary of them. It will take time for a trainer to build trust with one.

The original form of Growlithe is from the Kanto Region. Its color palette is closer to black and orange while the new Hisuian form of Growlithe has a more reddish coat. Hisuian Growlithe also has longer fur on its head that covers its eyes.
Hisuian Growlithe also gains the Rock type compared to it's pure Fire-type Kanto counterpart. While this gives Hisuian Growlithe additional resistances to Normal or Flying types, it also adds notable weaknesses to the Fighting type, and makes it even more weak to the Water and Ground-types.

Pokedex Entry | They patrol their territory in pairs. I believe the igneous rock components in the fur of this species are the result of volcanic activity in its habitat. |
