These rideable Pokemon work similarly like HMs from previous Pokemon games, as it allows traversal of areas that were previously inaccessible.
On the other hand, the Poke Ride mechanic from Pokemon Sun and Moon is quite similar from the Ride Pokemon in Legends: Arceus, as you can choose which Pokemon to ride on and take advantage of its unique abilities.
Basculegion allows you to traverse the bodies of water and reach islands.

Although riding Hisuian Braviary seems more like gliding rather than flying, there is actually a trick to gain altitude while riding the noble. To do this, simply press the Y, +, and A buttons in that order and in rapid succession. It takes a few tries to get the timing right but this is the only way we have found to gain altitude.
It doesn't have a lot of practical uses other than reaching higher places that Sneasler can't climb like the Glacier in Avalugg's Legacy and Snowpoint Temple.
Wyrdeer takes you across the land by letting you hop on its back. You can ride Wyrdeer to quickly move across the map.
Wyrdeer can also jump to reach elevated places and climb on small hills as long as it is not too steep.
