Strategies to Defeat Akari/Rei |
---|
|
When you first battle Akari/Rei, you won't have any Pokemon with moves that match Pikachu's weaknesses. It is recommended to use powerful unresisted type moves instead to quickly deplete Pikachu's HP.
Even later in the game, all three starter Pokemon are good choices when it comes to fighting Akari/Rei's Team. With a varied group of Pokemon, even their final team shouldn't be a problem.
Oshawott and Rowlet do have a slight advantage over Cyndaquil against Staravia, as it is weak to Water and Grass-Type Moves.
If not defeated quickly, Akari/Rei's Pokemon can stun your party. This leaves them unable to battle properly and could result in a more challenging fight.
It is recommended you take down Pikachu and Mr. Mime quickly or use a Pokemon that is resistant or immune to Electric-Type Moves.
