Who is Irida?

Leader of the Pearl Clan

According to her official description, Irida serves as the leader of the Pearl Clan, and her partner Pokémon is Glaceon.

As a leader, she feels it is important to have the courage to face the vast Hisui region without quailing before it. Though she is suspicious of you when you first meet, she will come to trust you thanks to the help you provide in quelling the noble Pokémon.

Should You Choose Irida?

Legends Arceus choosing between Adaman and Irida

At the end of the mission Disaster Looming, you'll have to choose between Adaman and Irida to accompany you in the Lake Trials. Your choice will only affect the order of the Legendary Pokemon you'll fight near the end of the story so you can choose the character you like more.

Regardless of who you choose, you will still get both Dialga and Palkia before the main story ends.

Should You Choose Adaman or Irida? Diamond or Pearl Clan Choice

You will obtain Palkia early

If you choose Irida, you will fight Palkia in a Pokemon battle during the mission Atop Mount Coronet. You need to capture Palkia before the story can advance, so don't worry about accidentally taking it out—the battle will restart if you do.

Palkia will be in the Origin Ball

Legends Arceus - Origin Ball

Additionally, you will face Dialga in the next mission, The Counterpart, if you choose Irida. Unlike the first battle against Palkia, you'll fight Dialga in a boss battle similar to the Frenzied Nobles.

The boss fight will conclude in Dialga being captured using the Origin Ball, a unique type of Pokeball.

If you don't mind Dialga being inside this special Pokeball, choose Irida. But if you like Palkia more, we recommend choosing Adaman instead.
