Complete the Pokedex

Legends Arceus Pokedex

Seeing or catching a Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus simply isn't enough to fill your Pokedex.

In order to complete your Pokedex, you must first catch all Pokemon in order to unlock their respective Research Tasks, complete those Research Tasks, and report back to Professor Laventon.

This not only allows you to meet Arceus once you've completed your Pokedex, but raising all Pokedex entries to level 10 will snag you the Shiny Charm, an item that increases the odds of encountering shiny Pokemon!

Catch All Pokemon

Catching Pokemon

Catching Pokemon will not complete your Pokedex entries, but it will unlock the Research Tasks for the Pokemon you've caught. If you truly want to complete your Pokedex entries, reaching Research Level 10 to all of your caught Pokemon is a must.

Hisui Pokedex: List of All Pokemon

Complete All Research Tasks

You must get each Pokemon's Research Level to 10 in order to 100% your Pokedex. This involves doing multiple Research Tasks, ranging from defeating a Pokemon using certain types of moves, observing it as it does a specific move a number of times, to even registering its other forms!

Our Research Tasks guide goes in-depth with the steps on how to complete them, its benefits, and more!

Pokemon Legends Arceus Requests

There are also some requests only unlocked during the post game, such as the ones that lead you to Darkrai, Shaymin, and other Legendary Pokemon.
