Clans Named After Pokemon Diamond and Pearl

Pokemon Legends Arceus Diamond Pearl

In Pokemon Legends Arceus, you will encounter the Diamond and Pearl Clans of the Hisui Region, which both have the mission of protecting the special Pokemon of the Hisui region. The high-ranking members of these clans are Wardens who watch over Noble Pokemon of the region.

The clans are both named after Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, the Generation 4 games set in the Sinnoh region. Both clans have their outfits styled after their respective game.

The Clans Worship Dialga and Palkia

Pokemon Legends Arceus Legendaries

Both clans also pay reverence to a deity known as the “Almighty Sinnoh”, although the clans have different interpretations of what the deity is. For the Diamond Clan, they envision the Almighty Sinnoh much akin to the legendary Pokemon Dialga while the Pearl Clan pictures their deity similar to the legendary Palkia.

Who is the Almighty Sinnoh?

Exp. Candy Returning from Sword & Shield

Recently introduced in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Exp. Candies have been shown to be returning in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Exp. Candy S was shown briefly in the January 13 trailer as a reward for completing the request Big Buizel, Little Buizel.

Exp. Candies come in different sizes (XS, S, M, L, and XL) and increase the Exp. of your Pokemon to varying degrees, depending on the size.

Stealth Rock Does Direct Damage Now

Pokemon Legends Arceus Stealth Rock

In the January 13 trailer, during the fight with Kleavor, Kleavor was shown using the move Stealth Rock to deal direct damage against the player's Psyduck. Stealth Rock previously did not deal direct damage against the opposing Pokemon and only set up a hazard that would deal damage upon an opposing Pokemon's entry into battle.

Possible Stark Mountain Location

Pokemon Legends Arceus Stark Mountain

Based off the map and gameplay trailers, there is an active volcano located just off the north-eastern end of the Hisui island. In Sinnoh (the modern-day Hisui), the only volcano present on the map is Stark Mountain (now dormant), the home of Legendary Pokemon Heatran, which is separated by water from the main island. This could very well be the same volcano we see in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

Generic Pokemon Sprite Reappears

Pokemon Legends Arceus Statue

The Pokemon statues on top of the banner posts at the entrance to Kleavor's area seem to be a reference to the generic Pokemon sprite used in earlier games of the series.
