How to Get A Full Moon

A Full Moon is a requirement for evolving Ursaring and for catching a Clefairy. Read on to learn more about how to get a full moon, all the phases, and where you'll need it!

How to Get a Full Moon

Rest at a Base Camp

Rest at Base Camps
Progressing the days is quite simple at base camps! Simply head to the tent and select Rest until nightfall. You can do this a number of times equal to the phases of the moon before a full one. Each time you move time forward, you're also move the moon cycle.

Note that leaving for Jubilife Village does not reset this progress!

Check Ursaring's Peat Block Compatibility

If you are attempting to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna, this is the last step you will need. After resting until nightfall, simply open the menu and hover over the Peat Block to check if Ursaring is Compatible with it. If not, rest until nightfall again until the blue text saying Compatible is shown.

Get a Good View

Get a Good View
To tell the phase of the moon, you'll need to make sure you have a good view of it. This could be over a hill or in a clearing! All that matters is that you can see the sky and discern what the moon looks like.

Depending on the weather, you may have difficulties seeing the moon. Take note of each phase before moving the day forward so you have a better idea of how much time you have!

Full Moon Cycle

The phases of the moon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus are characterized by the fact that the moon changes every two days. Starting with a new moon in the top left of the table, it will look like the images in the table. The phases of the moon progress continuously even if you rest until night.

Furthermore, the moon cannot be seen immediately after it turns to night, but it will be visible after about 1 minute.

Evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna

Evolving Ursaring into Ursaluna
One of the unique requirements to evolve an Ursaring into an Ursaluna is evolving them during a full moon! This becomes quite difficult to do when you're not keeping track of the moon's cycle.

Simply use a Peat Block on an Ursaring while the full moon is up and you'll have an Ursaluna in your party!

In the moonlit dance request, you don't need to catch a Clefairy! You just need to watch the cutscene.
