| Description | Lian cares for Kleavor, the lord of the Obsidian Fieldlands. Though young, he has been given the role of warden because he has proven himself to be very talented. |
Lian is a warden from the Pearl Clan. He sports a white and pink uniform of the Pearl Clan. He also wears a hat similar to that of Clay from Pokemon Black and White.
Despite the young warden's age, he is given big responsibilities as he has proven himself to be very talented!
Lian is tasked to take care of Kleavor - a Bug- and Rock-type Pokemon. This Noble Pokemon is the Lord of the Woods and it's said that pieces from its stone-like body helps the people of Hisui when it comes to crafting tools and weapons.
How to Beat Lian: Lian Pokemon and Team
Kleavor was shown rampaging in the trailers after getting struck by the strange lightning from the space-time rift.
This mysterious phenomenon causes all Noble Pokemon to act violently. These Frenzied Noble Pokemon grow in size and shine brightly. You must defeat them using Balms made from their favorite food to calm them down.
Irida also mentioned that Lian knows stuff about minerals. He even goes looking for ore sometimes with his Sliggoo. Later in the story, Lian will assist you in getting your hands on a piece of Origin Ore, one of the materials needed to create the unique Origin Ball.
Pokemon fans have noticed similarities between Lian and Gym Leader Clay of the Unova region in Pokemon Black and White, and its sequels. Many have speculated that Lian is the ancestor of Clay since both characters wear the same cowboy hat. They even have the same hairstyle and hair color.
Despite these speculations, the connection between the two characters has not been confirmed.
