You can get to Alpha Lumineon quicker by fast travelling to Firespit Island and travelling west until you get to Seagrass Haven. Otherwise, you can use Basculegion to surf the sea until you get to Alpha Lumineon. There is a tunnel that you can go through in the waters of Veilstone Cape to get to the other side quicker.

How to Catch Alpha Lumineon

Catching Without Battling:Lure it with a berry and aim for a back strike
Catching Through Battling: Lower its HP in battle

Use Stealth Sprays and Razz Berries

Alpha Lumineo Back Strike While Eating Berry

1. While Lumineon is turned away, use a Stealth Spray to get closer to it.
2. Throw a Razz Berry to a spot that will allow you to have an opening on Lumineon's back.
3. Press B and approach slowly until you are close enough to throw a Heavy Ball (or a Leaden / Gigaton Ball) at its backside.
4. Flee the area immediately after (if the Pokemon busts out, being spotted will be a pain to deal with).

The most important skill for catching wild Pokemon is being able to lure them with berries so that you have a clear shot on their back. Razz Berries make Pokemon easier to catch, so when combined with Heavy/Leaden/Gigaton Balls, they can make it very easy to catch Alpha Pokemon.

Repeatedly catch them unawares

Togekiss vs. Alpha Lumineon

You can also catch Alpha Lumineon by lowering its HP in battle first, then throwing an Ultra Ball at it. Exploit its weakness to Grass- and Electric-type moves while also being careful not to kill it in battle.
