To unlock this request, you first need to complete a series of requests in the Version 1.1.0 update of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The final request in the series is Request 102: Daybreak. Once it is completed, you can talk to Gared at the Training Grounds to receive this and a variety of other requests.

| 2 | Talk to Ingo at the Training Grounds with only a Magikarp in your party and select Path of Solitude. |

Since Electrode will only use Self-Destruct, you will need to increase the Effort Levels of your Magikarp's HP and Defense to survive the attacks and win. An HP of 212 and Defense of 215 or higher will guarantee your win, but you may survive even if they are slightly lower than these values.
Electrode will only be using Self-Destruct during the battle, which also damages the user. To win against the Electrode, you need to increase the level and Effort Levels of your Magikarp so that it survives at least 2 hits from Self-Destruct.
