During the Request from Mai Mission, you will need to cross the bridge to the center island of Obsidian Fieldlands for the first time to continue the story. Once you have access to this area, you can talk to Bjorn to receive the request.

Steps to proceed through Trees that Bear Berries
1 Talk to Bjorn in Deertrack Path once you gain access to that area.
2 Collect Cheri Berries from the nearby trees.
3 Return to Bjorn and give him 3 Cheri Berries

Obsidian Fieldlands

Cheri Berries can be gathered from trees found all around the Obsidian Fieldlands. There are two trees that near the location of Bjorn that you can use to instantly fulfill the request.

Throw a Poke Ball containing one of your Pokemon at a tree to knock down the berries and collect them. Collecting berries from 1 to 2 trees is enough to complete the request.
