Should You Choose Adaman or Irida? Diamond or Pearl Clan Choice

This guide will explain the differences in choosing Adaman of the Diamond Clan or Irida of the Pearl clan in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. In the mission Disaster Looming, you will be faced with accompanying either Adaman or Irida, which will effect the later events of the game. Differences Between Choosing Adaman or Irida

The Legendary Pokemon you get first will change

In the main story Mission “Disaster Looming,” You will have to make a choice between choosing Adaman of the Diamond Clan, or Irida of the Pearl Clan. Depending on who you select, the order in which you receive Dialga and Palkia will change. However, ultimately you will end up getting them both, regardless of who you chose.

Should You Choose Adaman or Irida?

Choose Adaman (Dialga) to make battles easier

The timing of when you receive the two Pokemon doesn't change much, so it is totally fine to choose for the Pokemon or character you like better. However, if you wish to consider which Pokemon will make clearing the story easier, it is better to go with Dialga (accompany Adaman).

As a Dragon/Steel type, Dialga has great Attack and Defense, and it also has the advantage of being able to easily take on both Dragon and Fairy types, which Dragons are normally weak to.

Get the Pokemon you want to be in the Origin Ball second

The Pokemon which you get second will be caught inside of a special Poke Ball created by Professor Laventon called the Origin Ball. If you like one of the Pokemon over the other, you might prefer to have it in this special ball, and choosing to get the other Pokemon first will allow you to do so.

If you want Dialga in the Origin Ball, you should choose Irida, and if you want Palkia in the Origin Ball, you should choose Adaman.

You could also choose to do whichever Pokemon is harder to catch second

The first of the two Legendary Pokemon will be caught after fighting it in battle, whereas you will not have to have a Pokemon battle with the second one. Therefore, you could also choose not to battle the Pokemon with the harder type affinity for your team by having them appear second.
