How to Level Up Fast: EXP Farming Guide
Evolve your Pokemon by pressing the Up button on your d-pad and going to your satchel. From there, you can select which Pokemon you want to evolve.
You need to do various research tasks before you can evolve a Pokemon, and if the Pokemon is ready to evolve, the Poke Ball next to its name will glow yellow.
Evolution Methods |
---|
|
The conventional process of Pokemon evolving when reaching a certain level has been slightly changed in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The majority of Pokemon that can evolve by reaching the required level will no longer evolve automatically. Instead, you need to manually evolve them in the menu.
After every encounter, a "Can Evolve" notification will be displayed on the left side of the screen if you have any Pokemon that levelled up after the battle that can now evolve.
Certain Pokemon can be evolved by trading them to another player, or by using the new Linking Cord evolution item.
The Linking Cord's introduction marks the first time in the series in which an alternative to the traditional trade-only method is available.
Pre-Evolution | Evolution | |
---|---|---|
Kadabra | → | Alakazam |
Machoke | → | Machamp |
Graveler | → | Golem |
Haunter | → | Gengar |
Another conventional process of evolving Pokemon is by using evolutionary items. You can use these evolutionary items on certain Pokemon, regardless of level, to evolve them. Do so by selecting an item from your satchel and using it on the Pokemon you want to evolve.
List of All Evolution Stones and Items
This group of Pokemon have unique conditions to evolve which are not shared by other Pokemon. It can be difficult or near impossible to determine the evolution conditions for some of the more complicated Pokemon, so it's best to confirm the evolution condition in advance before trying to evolve your Pokemon.
