This request will only be available after completing the main story of the game. You also need to have a save file from either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl in your Nintendo Switch and load up Pokemon Legends: Arceus on the same account as that save data.

Mission Objectives

Prepare Pokemon BDSP Save Data

You are required to have a save file from either Pokemon Brilliand Diamond or Shining Pearl on your Nintendo Switch to receive the request. Prepare it in advance and start Pokemon Legends: Arceus on the same account where you have the save data.

The game also has several other gifts and rewards for Pokemon BDSP players and players of other Pokemon games.

Darkrai Location

Head to the Clamberclaw Cliffs in Coronet Highlands to find Darkrai. Darkrai will only appear at nightfall, so you can rest at the nearby Base Camp to wait until the night. That will also be the best time to save your progress before taking on Darkrai.

How to Catch Darkrai

A short cutscene will play out once you reach Darkrai's location. Prepare to fight and weaken it to increase your chances of capturing it.

After encountering Darkrai, it will start to teleport around the area. Anticipate where Darkrai will pop up next by looking for the black vortexes on the ground. Throw a Poke Ball containing one of your partner Pokemon at the Darkrai before it teleports away again.

Darkrai's moveset consists of Psychic, Ghost, and Dark-type Special Moves, so it is best to send out Pokemon that can withstand these attacks. A few great choices for the battle are Snorlax and Dialga (Origin Form).

Darkrai Respawns if It Faints

If you accidentally cause Darkrai to faint, you can leave Coronet Highlands and come back. Darkrai will respawn at the same spot in Clamberclaw Cliffs.
