Later on in the story and after getting banished from Jubilife Village, you will be prompted to choose between getting help from either Adaman and the Diamond Clan or Irida and the Pearl Clan.
This is the only point in the game where the story will branch off two different paths. Your choice will determine which of the Clan leaders will join you during the Mission and if you will face either Dialga or Palkia.
You will still obtain both Dialga and Palkia regardless of which Clan you will choose, and the story will continue with no further differences after completing a set of Missions.

Should You Choose Adaman or Irida?
While the player are given various opportunities to choose what to say in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, aside from the Adaman and Irida choice explained above, these dialogue choices do not have any effect on the story's ending.
The game does not have alternate endings which are dictated by the dialogue choices made throughout the story, so you are free to choose any answers you prefer.
The three Lake Guardian Pokemon will ask the player questions during three Trials. Answering these questions correctly can be required to complete the Trials, so the answers are given below.
Mesprit Trial | Answers have no effect on Trial result. |

Azelf Trial | Continue to say that you won't give up for each choice. |
Uxie Trial | The answer is 60131. |
Wardens and other NPCs will challenge you to a battle and will sometimes ask if you are ready to start or not. It is recommended to refuse the battle first and make sure that your team is fully healed before starting any battles.
You will be asked by Wardens if you are all prepared to face Frenzied Noble Pokemon before starting the encounter where you throw Balms to pacify them.
This is a good chance to check if your party is healed and if you have enough healing items before facing the tough challenge of facing these Pokemon.
