How to Increase Star Rank

Video Explanation

Earn Research Points By Doing Research Tasks

Research Tasks.png

Doing more Research Tasks earns you Research points that can help you rank up in the Star.

As a Survey Corps member, you'll need to set out to new areas in the Hisui region regularly to study the Pokemon that live there. You'll rank up as you do more Research on various Pokemon as it helps the Galaxy Expedition Team with their cause.

How to Get Research Points Fast

Keep Track of Your Research Points via the Pokedex

Pokedex Research Level and Rank.png

Keep track of your Research points by checking the cover of your Pokedex. The lower right corner of your Pokedex shows the number of Research points you have earned, as well as how many more you need in order to rank up.

Ranking up is important as it grants you access to new areas in the Hisui region. These new areas are home to other kinds of Pokemon that you can study. The more areas and Pokemon that you do Research on, the faster it is for you to fill the Pokedex!

Additionally, each increase in rank unlocks more crafting recipes, rewards you with more generous amounts of money, and increase the level of Pokemon that will be obedient to you. See below for the complete list of rewards for increasing your Star Rank.

Ikr? It's also unbelievable that people are claiming players can even reach star rank 9 at the first area without progressing through the story whatsoever.
