Pokemon Legends Arceus Exp Share

The party Exp. Share feature has been confirmed to be present in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. An advertisement for the Nintendo Switch featuring Christina Aguilera shows footage of Pokemon Legends: Arceus wherein the player's entire team of Pokemon gains Exp. after the player catches a wild Pikachu.

Can You Turn Off Exp. Share?

Pokemon Legends Arceus Turn Off Exp

Players will be unable to toggle on or off the Exp. Share feature in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, as you can't turn off party Exp. Share in previous mainline games, Pokemon Sword & Shield and Pokemon BDSP.

The only way to not have Exp. shared between party Pokemon would be by having just 1 Pokemon in your party or if all but 1 Pokemon are fainted.

Legends Arceus Exp System

In recent mainline Pokemon games for the Nintendo Switch (Sword & Shield, Let's Go!, and BDSP), Exp. Share automatically shares Exp. to all Party Pokemon, regardless if they participated in the battle or not.

The Pokemon that participate in the battle earn more EXP than the ones that didn't. The share of Exp. for the ones that didn't join vary depending on their current level. Based off the footage in the Nintendo advertisement, Legends Arceus' Exp. Share feature will have the same mechanics, as the lower level Pokemon are shown earning more Exp. than the higher level ones.

Present From the Start

Pokemon Legends Arceus Wild Pokemon

In Pokemon Sword & Shield and BDSP, the Exp. Share feature was present from the start of the game, or at least from when your party gets more than 1 Pokemon. While no official confirmation yet, it's highly likely Pokemon Legends: Arceus will follow suit and also have its Exp. Share feature present from the start of the game.
