Types of Weather | |||
---|---|---|---|
Clear | Cloudy | Rain | Thunderstorm |
Strong Sunlight | Fog | Snow | Blizzard |
Most of the time, you will experience clear weather while exploring the Hisui region. The sky will be clear and no weather condition will be affecting your Pokemon when it is in battle.
Ponyta and Rapidash can appear in Obsidian Fieldlands when the weather is clear.
During cloudy weather, the sky is less clear. There are no effects during battles if you happen to be in one when the weather is cloudy, so feel free to start encounters!
Ponyta and Rapidash can also appear in Obsidian Fieldlands when the weather is cloudy.
When it is raining, visibility will be slightly obscured due to the rainfall. Rain will occur more often in Crimson Mirelands than other areas.
During battles, Fire-type moves are less effective as damage is reduced when it is raining. It is best to put aside any Fire-type Pokemon while it is raining so you are not at a disadvantage!
During a thunderstorm, the rain is stronger and you will be able to see gusts of wind blowing while the weather pours.
Additionally, damage of Fire-type moves are also reduced when battling during a thunderstorm.
Thundurus Location |
---|
Thundurus will only appear in Cobalt Coastlands during the Incarnate Forces of Hisui Request if the weather in the map is a thunderstorm.
The sun shines bright during a strong sunlight weather, and the area will be a bit brighter than usual. Looking at the sky while the sun is on the screen will also produce lens flare effects.
This weather can only be experienced in Obsidian Fieldlands and Cobalt Coastlands.
During strong sunlight, the Speed of Grass-type Pokemon is boosted, allowing them to be more effective during this weather!
Visibility is reduced when fog is present in the map.
In battle, moves are less accurate when it is foggy and will more likely not land on your target, except for moves that will always hit like Swift. It is recommended to wait for the fog to clear up before engaging in any battles, as there is a chance that your attacks will miss!
Enamorus Location |
---|
Enamorus will only appear in Crimson Mirelands during the Incarnate Forces of Hisui Request if the weather in the map is foggy.
You can experience snowy weather in Coronet Highlands and Alabaster Icelands. Ice-type Pokemon get an advantage during the snowy weather as their Speed will get boosted.
When fighting while it is snowing, all Pokemon, with the exception of Ice-type Pokemon, can get afflicted with frostbite, where their HP will be reduced every turn and their Special Attack will stat will be decreased. Additionally, Pokemon with the drowsy status condition are more likely to not do anything in a single turn.
Ice-type Pokemon get an advantage during the snowy weather as their Speed will get boosted.
All Status Conditions and Effects
Snowfall is heavier and the wind will blow stronger during blizzards. This weather shares the same effects when battling during regular snowy weather, giving Ice-type Pokemon advantages in battles.
Additionally, Lucario will only appear in Alabaster Icelands when it is snowing heavily.
Tornadus Location |
---|
Tornadus will only appear in Alabaster Icelands during the Incarnate Forces of Hisui Request if the weather in the map is a blizzard.
To change the weather, sleep at a Base Camp and choose Until morning to force the map to change the weather.
Keep doing so until you get your preferred weather condition!
There may be moments during the story where you cannot change the weather. It is recommended to push on further until you gain access to other maps, which may unlock the weather again.
