This request is automatically unlocked after defeating Volo and Giratina in the post-game mission, Seeking the Remaining Plates. Professor Laventon will approach you at the gate when you return to give you the request.

Mission Objectives

| 1 | Returning to Jubilife Village after completing the Seeking the Remaining Plates mission will automatically trigger this request. |
| 2 | Head to Spring Path and find Giratina in Turnback Cave at Cobalt Coastlands |
| 3 | Battle and capture Giratina. |
| 4 | Report back to Professor Laventon at any Base Camp to complete the request. |
Giratina Location
Giratina can be found inside Turnback Cave at Spring Path in Cobalt Coastlands. To enter the cave, you can either fly down the entrance while riding Braviary or climb up the cliffs with Sneasel.
How to Catch Giratina
Giratina will be a lot less formidable this time around compared to your last encounter. Send out Pokemon that can withstand many of its attacks and can inflict decent enough damage to get its health down, such as Darkrai or Dialga. Darkrai can also inflict a status condition on Giratina with Dark Void.
The request cannot be completed unless you capture Giratina.
Giratina Respawns when Defeated
If you accidentally cause Giratina to faint while in battle, it will respawn in the same location when you reset the map. To reset the map, return to Jubilife Village and immdiately travel back to Cobalt Coastlands. It will continue to respawn until you are able to successfully catch it.
Get Giratina Origin Form with the Griseous Core
After completing the request, you also obtain a Griseous Core from inside the cave. You can use the Griseous Core on your caught Giratina to transform it into its Origin Form.
