| Steps to proceed through The Galaxy Team's Entry Trial | |

| 1 |  Choose your starter Pokemon before attempting the trial. ▶ Best Starter Pokemon |
| 2 | Exit the headquarters and head to the village's front gate. |
| 3 |  Win a battle against Volo to receive 5 Potions. |
| 4 |  Travel to Obsidian Fieldlands and catch the three specified Pokemon species—Bidoof, Starly, and Shinx—while learning the basics of exploring. |
| 5 | Report to Cyllene to officially complete the trial and receive your Survey Corps outfit. |
| 6 |  Return to your quarters and use the mirror to try out your newly received uniform. |
| 7 | Go back to the headquarters and make your way to the third floor to meet with Commander Kamado. |
