Merit Points are a special currency that can be used in the Trading Post in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Read on to learn how to get Merit Points fast, as well as a list of items available in the Merit Point shop.

Merit Points can only be obtained by picking up returning Lost Satchels found in the overworld. There is no other way to collect MP, so be sure to pick up any Lost Satchels you find!
You can find Lost Satchels at bag-like icons on the map. Simply head to the location to find them.
Press the - button to open the map.
Lost & Found Guide: Lost Satchel Effects
You can pin a flag at the location of Lost Satchels to have an easier time locating them. Doing so will display the location and distance of the Satchel even with the map closed.
Lost Satchels are small items and can be hard to locate, so be sure to use the pin function!
How to Use Pins in Map | |

1 | Press the - button to open the map. |
2 | Move the cursor on top of the Lost Satchel icon and press the A button. |
3 | Select the flag icon. Erase the pin by moving the cursor on top of the flag icon and press A. |
New Lost Satchels are added in the map if you go back to Jubilife Village and go out in any area again.
After collecting every Lost Satchel listed in the map, go back to the village and go back to the area again to refresh the list of Lost Satchel drops.
Merit Points are used to purchase items from Simona at the Trading Post.

The Trading Post is located in front of the Training Grounds in Jubilife Village.
Merit Points are a special currency that you use to exchange items at the Trading Post in Jubilife Village. You earn Merit Points everytime you return a Lost Satchel you've found in the overworld.
Merit Points are obtained from the Lost & Found Menu in the Communications screen.
Steps to Claim Merit Points | |
---|---|
1 | Pick up a Lost Satchel |
2 | Press the + button to open the menu and move to the second tab with the ZL or ZR button to open the Communications screen. |
3 | Select Lost & Found |
4 | Select the Lost Satchel you picked up. The Satchel should have a yellow ! icon at the end. |
4 | Select Yes to receive Merit Points! You may also receive other items. |

You can check how many Merit Points you currently have at the upper-right corner of the Lost & Found menu and at the Trading Post Merit Shop menu.
