As mentioned, Pokemon Legends: Arceus features plenty of changes to status effects and conditions. Some status effects and conditions such as Poison, Paralysis and Burn are functionally similar to previous Pokemon games so we have ommited them from the table above.
The following are status conditions that are not listed on your Pokemon's HP bar during battle. These status conditions can occur simultaneously with any of the 5 status conditions.
List of All Hidden Status Conditions |
---|
A wild Pokemon with the Unaware status condition has a small chance of being unable to perform a move, similar to the Paralyze status condition. In addition, its speed is reduced, allowing you to make the first move in battle.
You can inflict the Unaware status condition on a wild Pokemon before a battle by performing a Back Strike. This also increases their catch rate as long as the Pokemon remains unaware on their turn.
An Obscured Pokemon has its evasion boosted, raising the chances of the Pokemon evading an opponent's moves. The Mud Bomb move allows the user to become Obscured at the end of its turn.
A Pokemon that has adopted a hard-hitting stance will have its damage-dealing moves increased by 50 percent. Moves such as Double Hit allows you to inflict this hidden status conditions to your own Pokemon.
The Pokémon is fixated on the last move it used. This move will deal increased damage while the fixation lasts, but any damage dealt to the fixated Pokémon is also increased.
Using Rollout and Raging Fury allows the Pokemon to enter in a fixated state.
A Pokemon with the Wild Might hidden status condition has all of its stats boosted. In addition, the Pokemon takes reduced damage from status conditions and move effects such as Poison and Jagged Splinters.
All Alpha Pokemon start with this hidden status condition when you engage them in a battle, regardless if they have been caught unawares.
A wild Pokemon may become Enraged if you fail to catch it in battle. Once this occurs, all of its offensive stats and defensive stats are raised. A Pokemon in this state is more difficult to capture, so you need to wait for its stats to return to normal or reduce it with Status Moves before catching it.
A Pokemon inflicted with Jagged Splinters has its HP reduced at the end of every turn. Using a move such as Stealth Rock and Spikes causes the target Pokemon to have Jagged Splinters.
