Cogita is a story character living in Ancient Retreat that you will meet in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Learn more about Cogita and her role in the game!

Who is Cogita?

Cogita
Description	Circumstances lead you to meet this person surrounded by mystery. She will tell you of legends passed down by her ancestors and claims to be friendly with a “rather remarkable Pokémon.”

Cogita is a character you will near the end of the game. She resides in Ancient Retreat, and seems to have a close connection with Volo.

Knows about Hisui's myths and legends

As you interact and talk to Cogita, you will learn that she is quite knowledgeable on legends and stories in the Hisui region.

When you are banished out of the Galaxy Expedition Team and Jubilife Village during Disaster Looming, she lets you stay in Ancient Retreat, and mentions a way to mend the rift atop Mount Coronet by clearing the trials of the Legendary Pokemon of the Lakes and getting ahold of the Red Chain.

Cynthia Resemblance

Like Volo, Cogita also shares a resemblance to Cynthia, the modern day Champion of the Sinnoh region. Both characters share the same facial features, and are wearing black clothing.

Additionally, Cynthia is well-versed on stories about the Sinnoh region's mythology and history, similar to how Cogita knows about the stories behind the Hisui region's legends.

Gives post-game Arceus Plate Missions

After clearing the main story, Cogita will appear once more and will essentially start the post-game story. She will ask you to find the remaining Arceus Plates all over the Hisui region.

Starts Forces of Nature Request

After defeating Volo and Giratina, Cogita will show up inside the Galaxy Hall and tells you all about the Forces of Nature and where they can be encountered.

Once you catch Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus and raise their Pokedex Research Level to 10, Cogita will show you Enamorus, and tasks you to catch it and complete its Pokedex entry.

Receive Reveal Glass from Cogita

After catching Enamorus and completing its Pokedex entry, Cogita will give you the Reveal Glass, which allows you to change the Forces of Nature's forms from Incarnate to Therian and vice versa.
