Pokemon Legends: Arceus received a free DLC update that added Mass Massive Outbreaks and other Requests in celebration of Pokemon Day 2022 last February 27! Continue your journey in Hisui Region with this new update!

Pokemon Legends Arceus Content Update

After the free Sunbreak DLC Update, it is unsure if Pokemon Legends: Arceus would receive additional DLC and updates.

New Pokemon Snap received a massive content update a few months after its release while Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will receive content updates down the line, as there are Pokemon on the Pokedex that have been unobtainable in-game since release. Hopefully, PLA would follow BDSP's update timeline!

If there is DLC, new regional forms and evolutions that are not available in the base game will most likely be added. The last time a mainline Pokemon game introduced a new region and had a DLC expansion was Pokemon Sword and Shield. Its expansion pass DLC introduced completely new Pokemon, new regional variants of previously known Pokemon, and added previously known Pokemon who were not available in the base game.

It is most likely Legends: Arceus will follow in that release formula, with a DLC possibly centered on an early, Hisuian form of an iconic Legendary Pokemon, such as Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina, to name likely candidates.
