Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Wiki
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is the first mainline game to break away from the formulaic structure of Pokemon games. Your main goal is not to earn Gym Badges and conquer the Pokemon League, but to complete the Pokedex and solve the mystery behind Frenzied Noble Pokemon.
Given the game's great success, even if took a different route, we are speculating that we may get a Legends-type game for a different region or generation. It is certainly possible to build a story with the available material about the olden times in previous Pokemon games, along with the lore regarding Mythical Pokemon in their respective generations.

Jirachi is one of the two Mythical Pokemon in Generation 3. It is said that Jirachi is able to sleep for 1,000 years, only to be awake for seven days before it goes back into slumber. It can also wake up if it hears someone sing with a pure voice.
Jirachi is able to grant any wish to those who desire it, which can either be a good or bad thing depending on the intentions of the wish maker.

The story behind the Swords of Justice is widely known across the Unova region. Back then, Unovans waged war with each other which endagered the lives of wild Pokemon. It was the Pokemon musketeers who stood up to protect the Pokemon and even directly fought the Unovan people.

Hoopa is able to transform into two forms: Confined and Unbound.
Magearna is a Pokemon that was created by a scientist 500 years ago. It is said that it can feel the emotions of Pokemon and can understand humans. Magerna's true self is stored inside the orb in its body called the Soul-Heart.
Throughout Generation 8, Zarude is the only Mythical Pokemon that was released. It is seen living in packs, and is feared by most Pokemon due to its aggressive nature.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set during a time period introduced during Generation 4, but the game features Pokemon originating from future generations.
