The Mystery Gift feature allows you collect exclusive, limited-time items and Event Pokemon. Read on for a guide on how to unlock and receive Mystery Gifts, list of Mystery Gift codes, and all free gifts in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

Shiny Baneful Fox Mask Distribution
You can get 5 pieces of Grit Pebbles, Rare Candy, and Star Pieces using the code THX4YOURHELP.

Reaching Rank 1 in Survey Corps will unlock Mystery Gifts. To do this, you'll need to go through the tutorial on how to catch Pokemon and do enough research tasks until you get 500 Research Points.
You can check if you have done enough research tasks to rank up by talking to Professor Laventon at the Base Camp.
Earning 500 Research Points will automatically take you to Jubilife Village and from there you can talk to Captain Cyllene. She will promote you to Rank 1 and you can finally access Mystery Gifts from your menu.
The whole process takes about 2 hours to finish.

To claim Mystery Gifts, you'll need to have a Wi-Fi connection and to make sure your software is up to date to the latest version of the game. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is not needed.
Mystery Gifts are free to receive and download but only for a limited time. Once the period of the event is over, you can't receive the gifts anymore, unless a player who participated in the event is willing to trade them to you.
You can view which Mystery Gifts you have received by selecting Check Mystery Gifts in the menu.
You can only get a Mystery Gift once per save data. If you have already claimed your gifts, you cannot receive them again.

If you have a save file from either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Pokemon Shining Pearl, you will unlock a research request that will allow you to catch the Mythical Pokemon Darkrai. The request will become available in Jubilife Village in the post game.

Similarly, if you have a save file from either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Pokemon Shining Pearl, you can also receive the Modern Team Galactic Set outfit. You can change into this outfit by interacting with the mirror in your quarters.

If you have a save file from either Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield, you will unlock a research request that will allow you to catch the Mythical Pokemon Shaymin (Land Forme). The request will become available in Jubilife Village in the post game.
How to Get the Free Shaymin Gift
Similarly, if you have a save file from either Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield, you can also receive the Shaymin Kimono Set outfit. You can change into this outfit by interacting with the mirror in your quarters.
If you have a save file from either Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu! or Pokemon Let's Go, Eevee!, you can receive Pikachu and Eevee Masks. Change into this outfit by interacting with the mirror inside your quarters.
How to Get Pikachu and Eevee Masks
You can receive the in-game Garchomp Kimono Set when you preorder Pokemon Legends Arceus from Amazon US or Amazon JP. Both of the above links only link to the Digital Version of the game.
As of January 11th, 2022, Amazon US is currently out of stock of the Physical Version of the game. Additionally, the digital version from Amazon JP is linked as well, so players outside of Japan can purchase it too!
