August 18th featured reveals as part of a Pokemon Presents including information on multiple Pokemon games, as well as an abridged trailer focusing only on Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
The Pokemon Presents features full narration and explanation of the contents, so players who want as much detail of the contents as possible should watch this version.
The trailer released alongside the Pokemon Presents has no narration and is much shorter, but hits the key points of the new information.
The trailer showed new regional variants for some of the Pokemon! The first one revealed was Hisuian Growlithe, a Fire/Rock-type Pokemon.
Aside from Hisuian Growlithe, the new Hisuian Braviary was also shown in the trailer. It was also revealed to be a Flying/Psychic-type. However, its pre-evolved form Rufflet has not yet been revealed in any trailers.
In the same vein, new evolutions for older Pokemon such as Wyrdeer was also shown. Wyrdeer is an evolution of the Pokemon we know today as Stantler! It was revealed that Wyrdeer is a Normal/Psychic-type Pokemon.
In addition to Wyrdeer, a new evolution for Basculin was also featured in the trailer. The new Water/Ghost-type Pokemon is called Basculegion and it is seen swimming through the waters of Hisui.
New Pokemon and Regional Variants
Alpha Pokemon were introduced in this trailer. These Pokemon appear bigger and have red eyes compared to the regular wild Pokemon we normally see. Additionally, they are hostile towards anyone that dares to get near them.

Several of the new Pokemon introduced in the trailer are also shown to be rideable, including Wyrdeer, Basculegion, and Hisuian Braviary. Each Pokemon is used to traverse through different types of terrain in the Hisui region.
At the beginning of the trailer, a series of clips show that the Hisui region will have different biomes and climates, as well as different Pokemon in each area. Each area will also likely have its own weather system that affects the behavior and appearance of Pokemon.
Weather Guide: All Weather Types and Effects
The trailer shows two different perspectives of the Hisui Region Map, a full overview of the entire map and a clip likely taken in-game. The player is seen using the in-game map to travel to a different area called the Obsidian Fieldlands from their current location in Jubilife Village.
Full Hisui Map: All Maps and Locations
Though the village has been previously featured in the Announcement Trailer, this trailer reveals its name to be Jubilife Village, home to the Galaxy Expedition Team. Since it shares a name with Jubilife City in the Sinnoh region, it is likely that the village is the origins of the future city.
Jubilife Village Features and Things to Do
As shown in the trailer, Base Camps will be one of the most significant places to visit during your expeditions around the region since the player can come here to buy and craft items, submit survey reports, and heal themselves and their Pokemon.
This is the first trailer in Pokemon Legends: Arceus that introduces the crafting mechanics of the game. It also gives a glimpse of the different crafting materials that players could collect and use. Two of the most notable craftable items are Poke Balls and Healing Items.
How to Get All Crafting Recipes
The trailer reveals that the player is part of the Galaxy Expedition Team, which researches the mysterious and untamed Pokemon of the Hisui region. It also introduces many of the important characters that we will meet at the start of the journey.

A few requests and missions were shown during the trailer, such as a two entitled Wurmple Can Evolve and Getting to Work on Research Tasks. As mentioned in the trailer, these requests are given by the different citizens of Jubilife Village
The trailer gave us a glimps of how the Hisui region Pokedex appears in the game. Instead of the usual gadget-like appearance in previous games, the Pokedex of the Hisui region appears more like a survey notebook, which better ties into the theme of the game.
In the Pokedex, we can find several information about the Pokemon we find around the region, including their list of Preferred Foods, Items Carried, and Research Tasks, which are likely additional tasks you need to fulfill to complete the Pokedex.
