Aside from the many new moves included in the game, several returning moves in Pokemon Legends: Arceus have also received significant changes to their effects and types, which completely alters how they are used in battle.
Stealth Rock, which used to only do damage to Pokemon entering the field, now inflicts damage to the opposing Pokemon, which essentially transforms it into an entirely new move. The move also inflicts the splintered status condition on the target, which damages it for a set amount of turns.
