Hisuian Avalugg is 4x weak against Fighting and Steel type moves. However, because of its move Earth Power, it is best to use Fighting-type Pokemon that are not also weak to Ground during this battle instead. This would rule out some excellent Fighting types like Lucario and Infernape.

Instead, we recommend Hisuian Decidueye if you chose Rowlet as your starter or Gallade. Water type Pokemon like Hisuian Samurott would also be a decent choice.
