Pokemon Legends Arceus Best Pokemon Team

The best Pokemon team to use in the story of Pokemon Legends: Arceus is well balanced and takes into account all the important battles in the Hisui Region. Read on to find out how to make any team stronger, the best story team for each starter and stage of the game, as well as other great and strong candidates to add to your party!

How to Make Any Team Stronger

No matter what Pokemon you decide to bring on your journey through Hisui, there are a few game elements that you should take advantage of to make your team stronger. In particular, focus on raising your Pokemon's Effort Levels with Grit Items, mastering their Moves with Seeds of Mastery, and changing their Nature with Mints to take advantage of stat boosts.

Use Grit to Increase Effort Levels

Effort levels determine how quickly a particular stat increases. You'll want to gather as much Grit Dust, Grit Gravel, Grit Pebbles, and Grit Rocks as possible.

Effort Levels: Stat Numbers and How to Increase

Use Seeds of Mastery to Master Moves

Seeds of Mastery are rare items that allow your Pokemon to master a particular Move immediately, thereby unlocking its usage in either Strong or Agile fighting style.

How to Get Seeds of Mastery: Effects and Locations

Use Mints to Change a Pokemon's Nature

Since a Pokemon's Nature can affect the growth rate of certain stats, you'll want to make sure your Pokemon have a Nature that benefits their playstyle. For example, a Pokemon like Machamp specializes in Phsyical Moves, so you'd want to make sure its Attack stat was being boosted by its Nature. To change a Pokemon's Nature, you'll have to cultivate Mints on the Farm in Jubilife Village.

Early Game Team Explanations and Spawn Locations

Starly - High Attack and Speed

Pokemon Type
Starly ImageStarly Pokemon Legends: Arceus - Flying Type Icon Pokemon Legends: Arceus - Normal Type Icon
Spawn Location

Obsidian Fieldlands, Aspiration Hill

Starly makes a great early game Physical Attacker due its high Attack and Speed. There are few Pokemon near the start of the game that can resist its attacks. It maintains its high Attack even after it evolves, so it can remain a valuable member of the team until later in the game.

Shinx - Wide Array of Moves

Shinx's Electric typing and wide learnset means can deal decent damage to several types of Pokemon. It also complements Oshawott incredibly well since it can effectively deal with Water and Electric types. With the moves Ice Fang or Fire Fang, it can also deal with Grass-type Pokemon.

Buizel - Recommended for Kleavor
