Pokemon Legends Arceus - Effort Levels - Stat Numbers and How to Increase
The numbers next to a Pokemon's stats are their Effort Levels, which are similar to Effort Values of previous games. Learn about Effort Levels, their effects on stats, and how to increase them in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

What are Effort Levels?

Increases Stats with Each Level Up

Pokemon Legends Arceus Effort Levels

The number next to a Pokemon's stats is its effort level, which determines the amount that each stat increases per level up. The increase varies from 3 to 5 per level for all stats except HP, which varies from 6 to 8 per level. Each Pokemon will also have different stat increases.

Effort Levels are Randomly Determined

Change in Effort Levels after Reset

First Test (before reset)

Second Test (after reset)

Effort Levels are randomly determined at the time the Pokemon is acquired. Upon resetting the game, we have found that the effort levels of our chosen Starter Pokemon have changed, which confirms that the values are at least partially randomized.
