To unlock Despair Engulfs the Heavens, you must have completed the previous subquest of The Rainbow Destined to Burn, The Surging Darkness!

Check The Map and Select a Hotspot to Reinforce

Continuing after The Surging Darkness, you will be drawn to your map to pick different areas to teleport to and reinforce. Select any of the special icons on the map and teleport to them to progress the quest.

Most of the fights contain a large number of mobs that are susceptible to teams that contain AoE-capable units, have multiple elements present in the team, and have healing.

Being able to bring crowd control to the table, whether it be via grouping up enemies or freezing them in place can also contribute greatly to the many combat scenarios in this quest.

Reinforce the Hotspot

The main objective for most of the quest is to reinforce the hotspots present around the map, either by eliminating all enemies, clearing out an area, or breaking Abyssal Pylons.

As the other objectives can be completed in any order with the exception of the last 4, the likely sub-objectives will be listed here instead.

Defeat All Opponents

Most of the objectives will be similar to this one, where the player must go around the different battlefields and defeat all opponents present in the area.

Talk to the Courier(s) at the Stadium

Talking to this courier after one of the combat scenarios allows you to gather more intel that unlocks more points of interest for the Traveler to teleport to.

Defeat the Monsters and Destroy the Abyssal Pylon

This is similar to Defeating All Opponents but with the addition of an Abyssal Pylon that needs to be destroyed in order to end the fight.

Clear Out the Monsters Present

This objective is reserved specifically for combat scenarios where the Traveler is defending an area, a point of interest, or injured people.

Search For Survivors or Any Information of Value

One of the combat areas will have the Traveler perform a quick survey of the area after the fight. Simply approach the point of interest and a cutscene will play out.

Ride the Hot Air Balloon to Reinforce the Hotspot

One of the objectives requires the Traveler to man a Hot Air Balloon that will travel from one point to another.

When the Traveler arrives at the destination, they will need to clear out the monsters present to completely finish off this objective.

Head to the Children of Echoes's Camp

At some point, the Traveler will head on over to the Children of Echoes's Camp to assist Xilonen with clearing out the monsters in the tribe area.

Evac Complete, Prepare to Fall Back

When all of the objectives have been completed, you will need to fall back and regroup with various Natlan warriors.

Rendezvous With the Team That Evacuated First

For this objective, head on over to Kachina's group, who evacuated the area first during the Children of Echoes's Camp defense earlier.

Defeat the Monsters Surrounding Chasca and Chuychu

Simply defeat the monsters in this particular area and a short cutscene will commence.

Head to the Center of the Stadium to Witness the Gathering of Heroes

After being given control of the Traveler again, simply walk towards the stadium, where a cinematic cutscene will play out afterwards, thus ending this quest and starting No One Fights Alone.
