Surge Mode

Three Elemental Reactions for Easy Completion

There are a variety of ways you can go about this stage based off of its Blade Mirage: Electro-Charged, Vaporize, and Frozen. Attaining these Elemental Reactions should come very easy since all of your oppenents will be Hydro elementals.

Steadfast Mode

Focus on the Tainted Hydro Phantasms

The real threat of this challenge comes when the Tainted Hydro Phantasms transform into their enhanced versions, which will occur when their HP starts running low. While in this state, they cannot be Frozen.

Freezing them before they do transform is a great way to decrease this threat. However, should you opt to ignore their transformations, Vaporize is great for eliminating them quickly and efficiently.

Best Teams for Engulfing Torrents

Freeze Team

Ayaka	Shenhe	Kazuha	Diona
Ganyu	Rosaria	Sucrose	Diona

As far as Freeze Teams go, this team is by far the strongest one you can take with you. Ayaka's extremely high DMG output, which is furthered by Shenhe and Kazuha, can wipe out all enemies in record time!

Another option is using Ganyu's talents in synergy with Rosaria and Sucrose. Diona's healing and shields will be able to provide additional support, as well as AoE Cryo application, which can be Swirled around to further inflict Frozen.

Electro-Charged Teams

For excellent multi-targeting capabilities, playijng around with Electro-Charged might be of interest. Powerful Electro units like Cyno and the Raiden Shogun wil be more than sufficient to deal sizeable DMG to opponents.

Yae Miko and Fischl can provide additional Electro support through their summons, and Sara and Sucrose can provide ATK boost and Elemental Mastery boost, respectively. Shinobu synergizes well with any melee unit, and provides healing.

Another powerful way of dealing with Hydro is the Vaporize reaction. The teams above excel in doing just that, with DPS units like Diluc, Lyney, and Hu Tao spearheading their respective parties.

Bennett works well in any party including these ones, and Xiangling provides optimal Pyro support to melee units. Zhongli and Dehya can negate interruptions, while Sucrose can provide Elemental Mastery support for increased reaction DMG.

Do take note that Sucrose provides unconditional Elemental Mastry support even if she ends up Swirling Hydro instead, making her optimal for this challenge.
