Lyney's Trial requires you to answer several loopholes to refute Furina during Chapter 4, Act 1 of Genshin Impact. Read on to learn how to answer the loopholes, refute accusations, and create the right Logic Chains in this guide!
List of Contents
Order | Click to jump to a section! |
---|---|
1st | 1st Refutation |
2nd | 1st Logic Chain |
3rd | 2nd Logic Chain |
4th | 3rd Logic Chain |
5th | 2nd Refutation |
Traveler will have to defend Lyney in his trial, with the Hydro Archon, Lady Furina across the opera house as the prosecutor. There will be a First Refutation, followed by three Logic Chains, and lastly the Second Refutation.
They must defend Lyney by finding loopholes in the Hydro Archon's retelling of the events, and then select the evidence to refute using information collected before the trial!
In the first refutation, help convince the audience and Oratrice by refuting Furina's accusations against Lyney!
Statement | Refute With | |
---|---|---|
1 | Lyney entered the tunnel | nothing |
2 | Lyney attacked Halsey | Lyney's Statement |
3 | Lyney kidnapped Halsey | Lyney Heard a Voice to the Oratrice |
4 | Lyney knocked Cowell out | The Young Lady's Clothes |
5 | Onstage Accident | nothing |
After this Refuting, Lady Furina follows with a question, asking what is the evidence that Lyney wasn't in the tunnel when the crime took place.
The Court Record opens automatically, and the Traveler must select Strange Sound During the Magic Show, and Paimon explains how afterwards.
The first Logic Chain would require you infer who the True Culprit is, based on the evidences you've gathered so far!
Statement | Refute With | |
---|---|---|
1 | How did the culprit trigger the onstage accident? | Gardes Investigation Report |
2 | What was the original plan for the performance? | The Magic Trick |
3 | What evidence is there that the selected audience member was involved the incident? | The Young Lady's Clothes |
4 | Who is the True Culprit? | Cowell |
The second Logic Chain requires you to recreate what Cowell did based on the current evidences you have!
Statement | Refute With | |
---|---|---|
1 | How Can we Envisage Lyney as Having been Unable to Interfere with the Crime? | Lyney's Statement |
2 | How Can I Prove There was an Altercation at the Tunnel? | Strange Sound During the Magic Show |
3 | Who is the Prime Suspect Currently? | The Deceased's Identity |
4 | Where did the missing Halsey go? | Broken Flower Vase |
There's a reason players cannot properly clear the second Logic Chain when tackling it the first time; the game did not give enough clues through the context of the story.
You have to fail to actually progress first, before the proper answer of the Broken Flower Vase can actually be picked.
For the third Logic Chain, you'll still required to reconstruct the criminal's plan, but this time you have now better and stronger evidences, given that you've just obtained Water from the Primordial Sea!
Statement | Refute With | |
---|---|---|
1 | Who is the Prime Suspect Currently? | The Deceased's Identity |
2 | What item did the culprit use to control the timing of the dissolution? | Dropped Hook Rope |
3 | What item did the culprit use to dissolve Halsey? | Water from the Primordial Sea |
4 | What item did the culprit use to hide the mechanism behind the crime? | Audience-Side Magic Box Structure |
For the second refutation, you have to convince the audience and the Oratrice that Lyney has been framed for possessing the Water from the Primordial Sea among his personal effects!
Statement | Refute With | |
---|---|---|
1 | Lyney entered the tunnel | nothing |
2 | Halsey Dissolved | Strange Sound During the Magic Show |
3 | Infighting between Lyney and Cowell | Broken Flower Vase |
4 | Lyney knocked Cowell out | The Young Lady's Clothes |
5 | Onstage Accident | nothing |
The Traveler had already started collecting evidence to defend Lyney when they were collecting clues inside the opera house in a previous mission. Take advantage of the Court Records and the Perception Skill to prepare for the trial as much as you can!
How to Look for Clues Inside the Opera House
You can Participate in the Trial during the Archon Quest Chapter 4, Act 1 of Genshin Impact's Main Story.
