Find the Missing Crystalline Cores Puzzle Guide

All Crystalline Cores Locations

You can find all three missing Crystalline Cores at the inner islands of Broken Isle and Twinning Isle in Golden Apple Archipelago. Correctly rotate the Fatui mechanisms in the locations to unlock the core from its shackles.

Crystalline Core Puzzle #1

The first core can be found nearby the Fatui Machine encampment. You can take the boat from Broken Isle or Twinning Isle to get here!

Crystalline Core #1 First Mechanism

To obtain the first missing crystalline core, rotate the mechanism in the following order:

1. Rotate the mechanism to the right.
2. Rotate the mechanism to the left.
3. Rotate the mechanism to the left.

Crystalline Core #1 Second Mechanism

With the dot-dot-dash pattern, rotate the second mechanism in the following order:

1. Rotate the mechanism to the right.
2. Rotate the mechanism to the right.
3. Rotate the mechanism to the left.

Crystalline Core Puzzle #2

Go to the central island of the Archipelago for the next core. There's a Teleport Waypoint here, so it should give you an easy access to the island!

Crystalline Core #2 First Mechanism

To obtain the second core, rotate the mechanism in the following order:

1. Rotate the mechanism to the right.
2. Rotate the mechanism to the left.

Crystalline Core #2 Second Mechanism

With the dot-dash-dot pattern, rotate the second mechanism in the following order:

1. Rotate the mechanism to the right.
2. Rotate the mechanism to the left.
3. Rotate the mechanism to the right.

Crystalline Core #2 Third Mechanism

With the dash-dash-dot pattern, rotate the third mechanism in the following order:

1. Rotate the mechanism to the left.
2. Rotate the mechanism to the left.
3. Rotate the mechanism to the right.

Crystalline Core Puzzle #3

The third core is found on the eastern islands of the Archiepelago, beneath Twinning Isle and above Pudding Isle. You can use the boat from Pudding Isle to get here fast.

Crystalline Core #3 First Mechanism

To obtain the third core, rotate the mechanism in the following order:

1. Rotate the mechanism to the right.
2. Rotate the mechanism to the left.
3. Rotate the mechanism to the right.

Crystalline Core #3 Second Mechanism

With the dash-dash-dot pattern, rotate the second mechanism in the following order:

1. Rotate the mechanism to the left.
2. Rotate the mechanism to the left.
3. Rotate the mechanism to the right.

Tips on Completing Crystalline Cores Puzzles

Read Persikov's Manuscript for Puzzle Instructions

Once you obtain the Manuscript from Persikov, you will have to rotate mechanisms on the locations of the Crystalline Cores based on the hints written on the manuscript.

To solve Crystalline Core puzzles, remember the following:

1. Dot is clockwise, and therefore right.
2. Dash is counter-clockwise, and therefore left.

Undoing Mistakes When Rotating Crystalline Core Mechanisms

No worries if you made a mistake! As long as you follow the order of rotations given to you, it will register no matter how many times you've rotated it. Note that the only visual cues signifying you're correct is if the core has been unlocked, so take note!

What to Do with the Crystalline Cores

After obtaining each cores, return to the Fatui Machine and offer all items in Golden Apple Archiepelago.
