The Lunar Awakening event is a new Diablo 4 (D4) LTM launching on February 4, 2025 to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Read on to learn more about the Lunar Awakening LTM including its start and end dates, features, and rewards.

Lunar Awakening Start and End Dates

Runs from February 4 to February 18

The Lunar Awakening event for Diablo 4 is returning, starting on February 4, 2025 (10 AM PST) to February 18, 2025 (10 AM PST). This gives players 15 days to participate in the event and collect all the rewards it offers, in-game.

Available in Seasonal and Eternal Realms

The Lunar Awakening is available in both the Seasonal and Eternal Realms of Diablo 4. Non-seasonal characters are able to participate and farm up the cosmetic rewards without having to create a new character in Season 7.

Event Starts in Ked-Bardu

To participate in the event, players will need to travel to Ked-Bardu in the Dry Steppes region and make their way to the Lunar Night Market. From there, speak to an NPC named Ying-Yue to begin the event.

Lunar Awakening Event Features

Lunar Shrines Buff Existing Shrines

To celebrate the Lunar Awakening event, Lunar Shrines will start spawning all across Sanctuary. Activating them will grant you with a 100% experience bonus. These shrines are modified versions of existing shrines:

• Artillery Shrine: Casts have a chance to summon a holy bomb.
• Blast Wave Shrine: Each explosion summons a cluster bombardment.
• Channeling Shrine: Increased attack speed and chance to reset cooldowns.
• Conduit Shrine: Summon frequent, powerful, shocking strikes.
• Greed Shrine: Chance to summon a Treasure Goblin. While the Shrine is active, kills summon a Treasure Goblin.
• Lethal Shrine: Chance to instantly execute a struck monster, causing Fear on surrounding monsters. Note: this includes Elites, but excludes Bosses and other Players.
• Protection Shrine: You reflect all incoming damage. Damage reflected scales with Level and Difficulty.

When buffed by shrines, you gain Ancestor's Favor reputation which counts towards the Lunar Awakening Limited-Time Mode (LTM) reward track.

Miserly Spirits Spawn After Activating a Lunar Shrine

Miserly Spirits will immediately spawn once you activate a Lunar Shrine. This gives you targets to beat up with your newly acquired buff.

Lunar Awakening Shop Bundles

To celebrate the Lunar Awakening event, new shop bundles will be available at the in-game store for the duration of the event. Pick up Lunar New Year themed cosmetics for each class in Diablo 4, as well as a new event-themed mount armor.

Free Cosmetic Reward Track

Lunar Awakening will have its own currency exchange for event cosmetics, including the Resplendent Spark and 6 different Lunar-themed cosmetics.

Head on over to the Lunar Night Market in Ked Bardu and trade Ancestor's Favor reputation to claim event-themed rewards for your character.
