Just tried your method and beat him for the third time and still nothing…I think it might be bugged?!
Me! Shield / feather reacted to water, bird fell, & bird died. Several times now in fact, and now my resin is depleted. However, the "destroy the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant's shield to make it fall" is still not completed. Why? Bug? - Edit : - right after I wrote the above. I decided to jump down to the bird, via the big hole at the top of the cave in which it resides. Now for some reason it did the trick! I got the achievement & mission accomplished. Good luck!

I have not received my rewards for breaking the shield either
Is anyone else not receiving the rewards for beating the boss in first event. Have beaten it on several occasions now and still no points for event so graffiti board is not finished.
