How to Beat Resolute Mettle
Surge Mode
HP Consumption for Increased DMG
The Blade Mirage for Resolute Mettle involves losing HP in exchange for a huge DMG buff, posing the challenge of keeping your party alive while maximizing overall DMG output.
With the Blade Mirage in mind, one could already surmise that when creating parties, characters who can easily fluctuate their HP will be optimal for this challenge. Characters like Hu Tao and Lyney will be able to take advantage of this mechanic to its fullest.
Steadfast Mode
Make Use of Ousia Blocks
Most of the enemies you will encounter during Resolute Mettle will be Pneuma-aligned. The enemies in Steadfast mode will have higher HP and DEF, making for longer battles that may lead to failure.
As such, making use of the provided Ousia Blocks will tip the balance heavily in your favor, especially against the larger Meks. We have found that using the Ousia Blocks against the, at least twice will make for an easier time.

Lyney's HP consumption mechanic will shine brightly in this challenge, provided that you can keep his HP from going too low. Also keeping his Talents in mind, a Pyro Team will ensure that he does as much DMG as possible.
Lynette will also play a prominent role in this party, being the first Ousia-aligned character in the game, as well as one of the characters with an HP sacrificing mechanic. Both Lyney and Lynette will be great for synergizing with the stage's Blade Mirage!

The teams above will be able to eliminate multiple enemies all at once through the use of Hyperbloom's Sprawling Shots. Shinobu's HP consumption for healing synergizes well with the Blade Mirage.
Baizhu's shield may protect from DMG but it is not so formidable as to prevent DMG entirely. His shield can easily be broken, but provides healing once it does. Therefore, your characters are still bound to lose HP, but will regain it shortly after.

A good option for eliminating enemies quickly is through the use of the Vaporize reaction, which can easily be done with characters like Xingqiu or Yelan. Hu Tao will also benefit nicely from the Blade Mirage.
Anemo characters like Kazuha and Lynette are also useful for spreading elements around, with the latter being Ousia-aligned as a bonus. This will make it much easier to stun the Pneuma-aligned enemies you're about to face!

Keeping up with the trend of fluctuating HP, remember that Dendro Cores from the Bloom reaction will also deal DMG to your own party members—perfect for keeping the Blade Mirage up and running.
Nilou shines vividly in Bloom teams. As for Kaveh, one of his Passive Talents will restore HP to him once he manually detonates Dendro Cores with his Elemental Skill. With this, the Blade Mirage will stay active for as long as possible.
