Recommended Starting Hand | |||
---|---|---|---|
When the Crane Returned | The Bestest Travel Companion! | Jade Chamber | Toss-Up |
Starsigns | Paimon | Timmie | Liben |
When playing this deck, one must have a basic understanding of how Elemental Reactions work, as well as their characters' capabilities. This is because we will be initiating a unique Elemental Reaction chain that will deal several instances of DMG if done right.
It is also because of this that most, if not all, dice rolls must be aligned with your characters to ensure that all steps will be followed and acted upon. This starting hand will do just that, while also supporting quick-swaps and Energy management.
There are two things you need to understand when it comes to playing this deck: how Swirl works, and how Nahida's Elemental Skill works. Once you pick up on it, you will be able to see the bigger picture and think ahead.
Nahida's second Elemental Skill, All Schemes to Know: Tathata, will mark all enemies with Seeds of Skandha, which will deal DMG to them whenever any Elemental Reactions occur. It will also apply Dendro upon casting.
Swirl spreads elements around, hitting even characters on standby. Should they be affected by an element, another Elemental Reaction will occur, thus, activating the chain. Pair that up with Nahida's Skill mechanics, and the chain is complete.
Recommended Cards | |||
---|---|---|---|
The Bestest Travel Companion! | When the Crane Returned | Paimon | Toss-Up |
It's highly likely that your first roll won't be as aligned as you hope it would be. Therefore, your best countermeasures would be to play The Bestest Travel Companion! and Toss-Up to have at least 5 Dendro dice to start the chain.
Any Support Cards can be played along the way unless your dice remain unusable. It's best to start with the chain as immediately as possible so you won't have to worry about it in the long run.
Nahida | When the Crane Returned | The Bestest Travel Companion! | Toss-Up |
Start with Nahida and play When the Crane Returned if you have it to auto-swap to Miko after your action. Then, cast her Elemental Skill and plant your Seeds of Skandha.
This would likely end your turn with about 1 or 2 dice left. If you didn't have When the Crane Returned, you can either use one die to swap to Miko and end your round. Otherwise, play any Support Cards you can.
Yae Miko | Leave it to Me! | Changing Shifts |
Cast Miko's Elemental Skill and set up her Electro summon and pave the way for Sucrose's Swirl. Play any Support Cards you can during this round, then switch to Sucrose before ending your round. Miko's summon should have applied Electro by then.
For now, it would be best to hold off on doing anything with Sucrose. Her main role is to be the trigger for the several bouts of DMG we want to ensue.
Sucrose | Calx's Arts | Starsigns |
The final step in the chain is to have Sucrose spread Miko's Electro all around, dealing DMG to any and all opponents and triggering Nahida's Seeds of Skandha.
For this step, it's very highly recommended to have Calx's Arts on hand to enable Sucrose's Elemental Burst for a bonus summon. If you don't, then simply cast her Elemental Skill and watch as the chain does its magic.
Eula | Diluc | Noelle |
This deck primarily excels in multi-targeting, and is effective for facing waves of enemies head on. It is also perfect for counteracting slow-paced decks that take their time setting defenses and supports. However, it is not as effective against bosses.
Because of all the quick-swapping and multi-targeting, this deck will be able to decimate entire decks and end battles before you even know it. However, be careful not to be countered with Elemental Reactions yourself!
Targeting multiple enemies is a great way to attain victory in the quickest way possible, and this deck is great in doing just that. This deck is great for going up against parties who rely on supports, cutting their power supply to even out your odds.
Should you find yourself in a duel where you have to face multiple waves of enemies, this is the deck for you.
Ganyu | Mona | Venti |
Since this deck relies heavily on the team's synergy as well, it would be in your best interest to disrupt multiple characters and prevent the chain from advancing. For this, you can counteract with an Elemental Reaction chain of your own!
Spreading Hydro and Cryo all around and triggering them with Swirl can Freeze multiple targets, disrupting the chain on multiple points. It could even force your opponent to end their round early!
Kokomi | Diona | Jean |
A defensive approach can be considered when dealing with this deck, focused on the balance of healing, offense, and defense. Diona's shield and Cryo application paired with Kokomi's healing and Hydro application can serve the counter-chain well.
Jean can force characters out of their turn with her Skill and provide healing with her Burst as well. But do keep an eye out for Kokomi to prevent unwanted reactions, as she applies Hydro on herself when casting her Skill.
