Ideally, you will want to begin the duel with cards that can help you get dice, add Energy, and summons to start strong. Focus on increasing the Energy for the Elemental Burst or use Elemental Skills immediately to summon cards on the field, especially if you got the Abyssal Summons Card on your hand. You would also want to start with Mona or Rhodeia to apply Hydro on the enemies.

You can then switch on the next turn or phase to Maguu Kenki and start using Anemo Elemental Skill to deal Swirl Damage and add an additional summon on the field.

Inflict Swirl Using Maguu Kenki for Additional Damage

Another source of damage on the lineup aside from the summons would be the Maguu Kenki's Anemo Elemental Skill. You will have to start with the Hydro Characters, preferably Mona, as her Elemental Skill can reduce damage. Then switch to Maguu Kenki and use his Anemo Elemental Skill for the Swirl Damage.

You can also equip the Instructor's Cap artifact on him to create more elemental dice as he inflicts Swirl. He might be able to attack again as well because of that.

Focus on Summoning Cards

As much as possible, scrap the idea of using Normal Attack as they are a waste of resources. Use Elemental Skills or Bursts only to maximize the cards you can summon on the field. Also, if possible, instead of using Rhodeia's single summon skill, you should prioritize the Myriad Wilds skill to spawn three monster cards at the same time.

Summon and Swirl Deck Best Used Against

Friendly Fracas

Genshin Impact - Diona ImageDiona Genshin Impact - Noelle ImageNoelle Genshin Impact - Jean ImageJean

This deck is a good matchup against the decks of Diona, Noelle, and Jean. They focus on healing or damage reduction buffs, which can easily be overpowered by the Summoning and Swirl Deck. They also lack some damage to get a kill, making it more difficult for them to beat this deck.

What does this Deck Counter?

This deck can counter defense-focused decks, like healing decks or damage-reduction buff decks, as they can be out-damaged by the summoned cards on the field. Defense-focused Deck users will have to risk attacking and taking out one of the characters on the field or they will lose the duel.

The frozen deck will also have a hard time dealing with this deck. Even if the characters on the Summoning and Swirl Deck get frozen, their summons can still fight and inflict damage on them.

How to Counter Summon and Swirl Deck: How to Beat

Countered by OTK Decks

Genshin - Ganyu CardGanyu Genshin - Diluc CardDiluc Genshin - Chongyun CardChongyun

Summon and Swirl Deck makes it possible to work due to the synergy of the Character Cards. If one of them gets taken down in one shot, it will become difficult to win on the following turns and phases of the duel.

OTK decks are usually composed of Vaporize or Melt comps, as they have high single-target damage.

Use Send Off or Guardian's Oath Cards

Genshin - Send Off CardSend Off Genshin - GuardianGuardian's Oath

Cards that can destroy summon cards is the worst match up against the Summoning and Swirl Deck. They'll mess up the flow and the phase of this deck's users, especially when used when they have all the ppossible summon on the field.

Reaction. Also tbh the nerf was too harsh, they should buff his summons to have 3 usages instead of 2, or at least buff the Anemo summon to have 3 usages, or heck even the Cryo summon. This is still my favorite deck to play.

No it’s not, it’s actually still pretty decent, just not as overpowered, also tbh only the Starter deck is A Tier, every other deck is at the very least S Tier. Also since the Maguu nerf I’d start with Maguu as the first character instead (Anemo summon preferably), then swap to Mona for more efficient reactions, starting with Mona makes you lose 1 reaction, some cards like Instructor’s Cap are no longer useful since the nerf so I’d swap it with the Maguu talent instead so you get a free>>
