Mona in Liyue Deck Strengths | |||
---|---|---|---|
• A proper combo will unleash massive damage, sometimes even enough to take down a full-health Character Card with one Elemental Burst from Chongyun. • Constant Vaporize application due to Mona's and Xiangling's respective Elemental Skills can chip away at the opponent's Character Cards for easier killing. |
|||
Mona in Liyue Deck Weaknesses | |||
• Getting the proper set-up for massive damage or consistent Elemental Reactions will take time and luck. • The opponent can easily switch away your targeted Active Character to protect them from the big combo. |
The Mona in Liyue Deck is split between the off-field DPS dealt by Xiangling and Mona, and then Chongyun comes in with Cryo for massive Damage due to multiple Elemental Reactions. It takes time for this Deck to set up the necessary requirements, but much like in combat, when done right the damage can be astronomical.
The Action Cards listed are to ho help out in making the Elemental Reactions happen through resource management and Energy Charge, then when the time has come to deal massive damage, Equip Cards and Foods can further increase Chongyun's damage output.
Combo Card 1 | Combo Card 2 | Result |
---|---|---|
Chongyun | Adeptus' Temptation | - Chongyun's Elemental Burst, Cloud-Parting Star deals a massive 7 Cryo DMG to a Character Card. A boost from Adeptus' Temptation can add +3 to it, allowing Chongyun to kill a full-health Character Card. |
Mona | When the Crane Returned | - Mona's Elemental Skill and Burst are best used in tandem with another Character to immediately chain Hydro-based Elemental Reactions. When the Crane Returned allows her to switch out after using either attack. |
Xiangling | Chongyun | - Much like in combat, Xiangling and Chongyun have amazing synergy together. Chongyun's Skill makes Normal Attacks become infused with Cryo; combine that with Xiangling's Burst that deals Pyro on attacks, and it is the easiest application of Melt in Genius Invokation. |
Marjorie | Ellin | Blanche |
The Mona in Liyue Deck is a good example of a phrase in other TCG games: any deck can beat any deck in a good day. The damage the Character Cards can deal once the proper set-up is finished allows this Deck a chance against any Deck, Adventure Challenge and even Duels.
Kaeya | Mona | Fischl |
Kaeya's, Mona's, and Fischl's Friendly Fracas duels are notable in their passive damage gameplay due to their Skills. Their playstyle provides this deck an opportunity to set up the Elemental Reactions to stack, and depending on the state of the game, even a Normal Attack--Cryo-infused thanks to Chongyun's Elemental Skill--can deal 9 DMG in a single swing.
This Deck is great against more passive Decks that prefer to deal damage over time rather than a single offensive burst. The more the opponent gives this Deck time to set up, the harder they can hit once the conditions are met. Burning/Bloom Decks and Swirl Decks might have trouble against Mona in Liyue.
Mona | Kamisato Ayaka |
Freeze Decks can stop a Character Card from any further action, and forces the player to switch their Active Character. They disrupt plays so long as they can apply Cryo and Hydro constantly, and they would like to keep it that way until every Character Card they're up against is defeated.
Ganyu | Keqing |
As mentioned as part of this Deck's weakness, it takes time for the Character Cards to set up the proper combo and Elemental Reactions. Chipping them down with Piercing DMG and Superconduct can threaten Standby Characters from switching in. By the time the sub-DPS characters take the role of Active Character, their health will most likely be low enough to defeat them.
Jean | Sucrose |
The Deck is pretty easy to tell when they are about to go all in to try and deal massive Damage. If a chance presents itself to forcibly switch out the player's Active Character, take it without hesitation. Right now, only Jean and Sucrose are the only characters with this effect built into their Elemental Skills, but Overload-centric Decks are viable options too.
