PLA Cancel Evolution

Evolving Pokemon is done through a new manual system in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Read on to find out how to cancel evolution and how evolving Pokemon works.

Can You Cancel Evolution?

Pokemon Evolution Cannot Be Canceled or Reversed

In previous Pokemon titles, it was possible to cancel a Pokemon's Evolution during the evolving cutscene. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, it is no longer possible to stop a Pokemon from evolving due to Evolution being a completely manual process for all Pokemon.

With this new system, you'll no longer be caught off guard by a beloved Pokemon suddenly evolving, so it's fair trade.

Furthermore, once you've evolved a Pokemon, there's no going back. If you're filled with regret at the sight of its evolved form, you can of course go out and catch another one. Or, if you've turned Autosave off, you could always reboot the game and undo your actions.

Evolve your Pokemon by pressing the Up button on your d-pad and going to your satchel. From there, you can select which Pokemon you want to evolve.

You need to do various research tasks before you can evolve a Pokemon, and if the Pokemon is ready to evolve, the Poke Ball next to its name will glow yellow.
